In a statement, Isaac Ali, district president of the Disabled Persons Welfare Association, said that it is unreasonable to give only a 15‑day deadline when disabled persons have been waiting for pensions for the past four years. The Telangana state government has demanded that the application deadline for disability pensions be extended by another month. He noted that many disabled people in the state could not submit applications for various reasons. The state government has demanded that the deadline be extended at least until September 30.
