Tarnana State Contractor Association sends letter to District Collector Normal, threatening to lock schools if bills are not released: statement by State Vice President Azeem Bin Yahya.

Appeal to Immediately Release Overdue Bills under the “Muna Aur Muna Badi” Scheme

Letter to the District Collector of Narmal by the Telangana State Contractor Association

Narmal, 28 August (Dubbing News Bureau) – The Vice‑President of the Telangana State Contractor Association, Azim Ben Yahya, visited the Narmal District Collectorate yesterday and handed over a letter to the District Collector, Narmal. In the letter, he demanded that the overdue bills under the “Muna Aur Muna Badi” scheme be released immediately.

The “Muna Aur Muna Badi” programme was launched by the Telangana state government to construct and upgrade basic infrastructure in government schools. The bills for the work assigned to us have been pending for the last three years. During this period, several contractors have suffered severe financial and mental pressure, and some have even lost their lives due to delayed payments and mounting debts.

These problems have been brought to the attention of the authorities on multiple occasions, and promises were made to resolve the issue. However, those promises have not yet been fully implemented.

Therefore, without further delay, we appeal that all overdue bills under the “Muna Aur Muna Badi” scheme be released by 17 September, the day of Telangana National Unity. Otherwise, the schools will be locked in protest.
