The residents of Narayanpur in Gangadhara mandal have begun a relay fast to have their village declared a flood‑prone area. As part of the protest, on Thursday they staged a bhikshatan at the Maduranagar crossroads, voicing a fresh demonstration. They lamented that they are enduring eight hardships because of the Narayanpur reservoir.
