On Thursday, at the Jagityal district Collectorate, the Day of Public Governance was celebrated. Minister Ajahardin of the Ministry of Minority Welfare and Public Enterprises attended as the chief guest and performed the national flag hoisting ceremony. Jagityal Members of Legislative Assembly Dr. Sanjay Kumar, District Collector B. Satya Prasad, District SP Ashok Kumar, District Library Chairman Sangnabhata Dinesh, Additional Collectors B.S. Lat, B. Raj Goud, Revenue Officer K.V. Prasad, and Jagityal RDVO Madhu Sudhan participated in the event.

"Esteemed public representatives, officials, media representatives, and all the people of Jagityal district, I extend my heartfelt Telangana Public Governance Day greetings. On September 17, 1948, the Telangana region gained freedom from oppressive rule and became an integral part of democratic India. Today marks the 78th anniversary of this historic event, and we are celebrating September 17 as Telangana Public Governance Day in the 79th year. The sacrifices, struggles, and self‑respect aspirations of the people of Telangana have always inspired us. It is our collective responsibility to safeguard democratic values, provide public governance, bring welfare to every family, and development to every region. Since the formation of the Telangana state, the public government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Sri N. Ramana Reddy, has aligned itself with the aspirations of the people and completed 1,000 days of public governance by September 1. From the very first day in power, the government has prioritized public welfare, farmer welfare, women's empowerment, education, healthcare, employment, social justice, and infrastructure development, implementing numerous key programs. By attracting massive investments, expanding educational and employment opportunities, laying the groundwork for world‑class infrastructure, and formulating long‑term plans for future Telangana, the government has charted a new direction for state development. With schemes that directly and indirectly benefit the poor and middle‑class families, new laws, policies, institutions, and key administrative reforms, the public government has undertaken a comprehensive transformation. Public governance is not limited to government offices; it involves going to the people, understanding their problems, and providing solutions. The government continues its governance on the four pillars of transparency, accountability, holistic development, and social justice. To shape Telangana into a stronger, more developed, and economically powerful state for future generations, we have drafted the ‘Telangana Rising–2047’ vision document. By 2034, Telangana aims to become a $1 trillion economy, and by 2047, a $3 trillion economy—this is the primary goal of the vision. While strengthening rural Telangana, the government also aims to develop urban areas to world‑class standards, achieving balanced progress. By gradually implementing the Abhayhasth promises and ensuring that every family benefits from government schemes, the government provides accessible governance that fosters development in every village and town. Programs such as the Farmer’s Assurance, crop support, Mahalakshmi for women, household lighting for families, Indira Malls for the homeless, better education for students, improved medical services for the poor, and employment and skill development for youth collectively advance welfare and development. In these 1,000 days of public governance, the district machinery works transparently and efficiently to serve every eligible person in Jagityal. I present the actions taken to develop Jagityal into a model district in welfare and development, with the participation of the people.

Historical Milestone:

As part of the development of ancient temples, 20 crore rupees were allocated for the reconstruction of the Dhrampuri Sri Ugra Narasimha Temple in 2027, in honor of the Gudaavari Pushkaras. New Smart Ration Cards:

The Telangana state government has introduced new smart cards, and 3,53,682 eligible beneficiaries across the district will receive them.

New Pension Schemes:

In Jagityal district, pensions of approximately ₹46.26 crore per month are being provided to 2,14,076 beneficiaries across 11 categories—elderly, widows, handloom workers, weavers, B.D. workers, single women, HIV/AIDS patients, filariasis patients, dialysis patients, and others. A total of 15,432 pension applications were received from all types of pension holders for the approval of the new pensions.
